Youth Stars Voices “See the Future” Fundraiser Film Festival

Benefitting West Island Community Shares

The Youth Stars Voices Student Committee presents “See the Future” fundraiser film festival benefitting West Island Community Shares – “Raising crucial funds for West Island charities since 1998.” The Film Festival is an all age’s event developed by youth for youth! The film festival will be taking place on Saturday, February 9th, 2013 at Riverdale High school, located at 5060 Boulevard Des Sources, Pierrefonds, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.

The entry fee is $3 for students, $5 for adults and $10 for a family of four. Tickets may be purchased at the event, or in advance at Riverdale High School’s main office with exact change. Ticket holders will have access to all movies playing, access to the game room including the latest Wii, Xbox and PS3 games! Pop corn, cotton candy and refreshments will also be available for sale.

Youth Stars Voices is a project developed by the Youth Stars Foundation for West Island high school students. It is a financial literacy & event production project, aimed at introducing and developing financial awareness & personal financial responsibility in high school students, as well as event marketing and production.

All film festival proceeds will be donated to West Island Community Shares – “West Island Community Shares provides crucial and recurrent funding to 36 West Island community groups who deliver essential services to West Islanders in need: cancer, autism, anorexia, isolated seniors, substance abuse, mental health, bullying, and more” . All those who make a donation will be issued a tax receipt.
